Lake Eola Park Lake Eola isn’t a dog park in the traditional sense, but we included it because, at any time of day, you can walk the 1-mile circuit around the lake and meet up with plenty of other dog parents! This isn’t the ideal place if your dog is easily distracted by people or wildlife, but if they just enjoy being outside, this is a good go-to spot. Plus, if you have a dog 5lbs or under, they can enjoy the Swan boats with you on the lake. Park of the Americas One of the highest-rated dog parks in Orlando, Park of the Americas is a new dog park that offers two play areas – one for smaller breeds, and one for those over 35lbs. There are bag dispensers and trashcans in the park, and if you and your pup feel like wandering around after playtime, you can take them throughout the rest of the park so long as they are on-leash! This is a family park setting with a children’s playground close by, so if your dog does not do well with children, you may want to rethink this spot! There is a smaller fenced-in area where dogs can play off-leash (although, there is no separate space for small dogs.) Dogs are also allowed in the rest of the park if they are on-leash and owners pick-up after them! The main park area is wheelchair accessible and there are three nearby lakes. Dogs should not swim in any of the area lakes due to water quality issues and the potential for alligators. Lake Baldwin Park Technically, Lake Baldwin is in Winter Park, not Orlando, but it is just a quick jaunt up the road and offers one of the best dog park experiences in the area. Lake Baldwin dog park is right on the water and has picnic tables for pet parents to gather. The best feature of Lake Baldwin is the doggy shower station! Your pup will have a blast at this park, but they will get sandy and muddy, so the showers are a big plus! Just remember to bring a towel! Barber Dog Park Barber dog park has a nice big fenced-in green space for off-leash play. There is also a separate area for small dogs to play and a water station and a wash station. The best feature of Barber dog park is the agility equipment in the play area! Even if your dog isn’t an agility dog, the equipment gives your dog something new and challenging to try! Dr. Phillips Dog Park Dr. Phillips Dog Park is a popular location that has a separate small dog play area and water fountains. There are also plenty of shade trees so that dogs can stay out of the sun on warmer days. The main park offers a splash pad, sports facilities, family activities, and a walking trail where dogs are permitted on-leash. There is a lot of activity in the main park, so if your dog is just getting used to crowds and strangers, this isn’t the ideal spot for you. Hound Ground Hound Ground offers a separate fenced area for large and small dogs and there are water stations and a dog washing spot. There is a training area, but this is area must be contracted. The rules of the park state that you must have your dog’s leash on you at all times even while they are off-leash in the play area. Paw Park of Historic Sanford Paw Park is a short drive from Orlando and is located in Sanford, but it is another one of the highest-rated dog parks in the area. The fenced-in play area is separated into areas for big dogs and small dogs, and there is play equipment for the dogs to enjoy too! This park is ADA accessible and has dog showers, self-watering bowls, and a double gate entrance which is GREAT news for parents of dogs that dash! Meadow Woods Dog Park Although Meadow Woods Dog Park doesn’t have as much to offer as some local parks, they do have separate big and small dog areas and water fountains. If you’re just looking for somewhere where your dog can run off a little energy in a fenced-in area, this is a good option. Doctor's Dog Park Address: 21 N Highland Ave, Apopka, FL, US, 32703Opening Hours: 8 am - 6:45 pm / 7 Days a Week Doctor’s Dog Park is a short drive from Orlando and is located in Apopka. It’s worth the drive to visit this park, though, because it offers a nicely sized play area, water fountains, and a shower station. This park has three areas where dogs can play, although just one is grassy and the other two are sandy, so be prepared to bring a beach home with you! Or you could bring a towel and make use of the shower station!
